Race 1 (2,600m)
(1) SANTIAGO'S PRIDE and (2) LIGHTINTHESTORM can both win this race. They are both in great form.
(4) THE MERCIFUL is worth watching.
(5) STOP THE TRAFFIC has not shown very much so far but is capable of improvement.
Race 2 (1,600m)
(4) CHERRY OH BABY has been a disappointment in that she has yet to win but she is knocking hard on the door and should make a bold bid at beating these rivals.
(1) GREEN STREET has been runner-up in two of her three starts. Go close.
(2) MESSALINA is holding form and can contest the finish again.
(7) GIMME A CALL could be looking for this distance, so expect improvement.
Race 3 (1,000m)
(1) LUCKY LAD was beaten by a high-class sprinter last time. Can bounce back to beat these rivals.
(2) WILLIAM ROBERTSON is always very competitive and should fight out the finish once again.
(6) MOUNT PILATUS keeps improving and deserves respect but this is his toughest task to date.
(4) ICE STAR did not show her best last time but is in receipt of a nice weight this time around and has a place chance.
Race 4 (1,000m)
(5) PACIFIC is in good form and does set the standard for the race.
(6) TOGETHER AGAIN is unreliable but can earn some money.
(7) DANCING DORA can win a race like this.
(9) SMELTING only found one too good on the day last time and can go one better.
Race 5 (1,500m)
(1) FIRE ATTACK has been runner-up behind quality sorts in his last two starts. Hard to oppose.
(3) HOTARUBI has run well below his merit rating in his last two starts but can earn some money.
(6) CALANTHA and (7) PEACE TREATY have work to do at these weights but can have a say.
Race 6 (1,800m)
(3) ONE MORE STAR was unlucky not to win last time. He is well drawn and can make a bold bid.
(4) DARK SILVER and (5) DIESEL'S SHADOW both ran well last week. Keep in mind.
(10) CHARIOT OF FIRE showed good improvement last time and can have more to offer.
Race 7 (1,800m)
(10) TOTAL SURRENDER likes this track and should fight out the finish.
(11) KUDZU is knocking very loudly at the door and will be very competitive once again.
(12) QUATERMAIN is consistent and not out of it.
(5) MAJESTIC PALACE will strip fitter after his last run but does have a difficult draw to overcome.
Race 8 (1,600m)
(1) VULCANITE lost her way in some feature races. Back in a handicap, she might recoup losses.
(11) ROAMING SPIRIT and (12) SHAMPIMPI are both arriving for this after winning and are clearly capable of scoring again.
(2) BLUE HORIZON needed her last run and could be a danger.
(4) DOITWITHDIAMONDS has been very consistent for trainer Tony Peter and she has a winning chance this track and distance.
Race 9 (1,600m)
(1) IT'S HER WAY has improved and can win from this draw.
(10) PRETTY ANALIA can also get involved with the finish.
(5) SNEAK PREVIEW is unreliable but clearly not out of it.
(4) PRINCESS ILARIA is better than her last run would suggest.
