A shop at Block 417 Yishun Ring Road has allegedly been flouting town council guidelines since 2023.

Stomper David shared a photo taken on June 26 of a shophouse. In the photo, clothes can be seen hanging from the shelter above the shop.

He asked: "I wonder if they are allowed to hang clothes in this manner? 😕🧐

"I have informed the town council several times since 2023. My most recent report was in April. It seems like yellow box infringement has gone unchecked too."

In response to a Stomp query, a spokeswoman from Nee Soon Town Council confirmed that they are aware of the situation.

She said: "Our officers have since engaged the shop owner and advised them to comply with our display guidelines.

"Should non-compliance persist, the town council will not hesitate to take enforcement action in accordance with our by-laws.

"Nee Soon Town Council takes all feedback from residents seriously. We are committed to maintaining a safe and orderly environment in our estates and will continue to monitor the area closely."
