A woman was caught on camera kicking up a ruckus at Sushi Express in The Clementi Mall because she apparently felt disrespected by the restaurant's staff.

Stomper Kirsten shared videos of the incident that occurred on Feb 6, at about 6pm.

She recounted: "A woman became visibly upset when a waiter greeted her in Mandarin while leading her to her seat. She immediately snapped at him. Her voice was harsh, rude, and overpowering as she scolded him for assuming she was Chinese. 'Do I look Chinese to you?' she barked, glaring at the startled waiter.

'Her words carried an air of entitlement and irritation, making it clear that she felt deeply offended. The waiter, appearing intimidated, simply nodded in acknowledgement and walked away without attempting to explain himself.

"After finishing her meal, the woman discreetly grabbed a few teabags from the table and slipped them into her bag before making her way to the cashier. There, another waiter greeted her in Mandarin, unknowingly triggering her fury once again.

"This time, her voice boomed across the restaurant as she berated him, her words cutting and merciless. She refused to listen to any explanation, her outrage growing with every passing second. She jabbed her finger at the cashier repeatedly, her presence dominating the space as she demanded to be treated with 'respect.'

"As the commotion intensified, she took it a step further, angrily declaring that she would not pay for her meal, claiming the service was 'unacceptable.' Her voice was unwavering and commanding as she threatened to call the police, insisting that she had been 'disrespected' and that she would make every diner in the restaurant a witness.

"However, instead of siding with her, the other customers appeared increasingly annoyed, exchanging glances and whispering amongst themselves about her unnecessary outburst. Some sighed in frustration, while others shook their heads, clearly exasperated by her behaviour."

In one video, the woman can be seen arguing with a male employee at the counter and then saying, "I don't want to talk to you. Please call your manager."

The male employee is heard saying something about the woman having "this kind of attitude" and "all I did was ask you..." as the woman walks off.

Another video shows the same male employee telling the woman in Mandarin, "You suddenly screamed and shouted, saying I thought you were Chinese."

The woman does not respond to him, but rants to another male worker, "You see this kind of attitude. Is this the way of attitude being in the service line?"

A third video shows the woman chiding the second male worker, repeatedly gesturing and saying, "I can call police come and dig out CCTV, it's ok. I can waste your time."

She also keeps pointing at him and tells him that the "customer's priority" should come first while he nods.

Kirsten told Stomp: "Despite the restaurant staff's calm attempts to de-escalate the situation, the woman refused to back down, her words relentless and cutting.

"It was only when two mall security guards arrived that the matter was finally settled. Their presence seemed to momentarily startle the woman and she begrudgingly settled her bill before storming off, still fuming."
