Wendy Jacobs celebrates 50th birthday by surprising mum in South Africa: 'Best present I can have'
Usually, if it's your birthday, you're the one who gets the surprise.
But for her 50th birthday, Wendy Jacobs decided to give her mum Charmaine in South Africa a surprise visit instead.
"The best present I can have," the former model told her mother mid-hug in an Instagram video posted on July 22.
The heart-warming video shows Jacobs sneaking up to the older woman and smothering her with kisses.
Charmaine covered her mouth in shock before returning her daughter's embrace.
Jacobs added on Instagram that her mother had no idea she was coming.
"When all I wanted for my big 50th birthday was to spend it with my mum... a surprise was great," she posted.
The video has garnered over 2,000 likes as well as many birthday wishes in the comments.
Born in South Africa, Jacobs married Singapore football icon Fandi Ahmad in 1996 and became a Singapore citizen in 2020.
The couple have five children.
Their three older sons, Irfan, 27, Ikhsan, 25, and Ilhan, 21 are all footballers for the Singapore national team while their youngest son Iryan, 17, plays for Hougang United.
The couple's only daughter, Iman, 24, made her modelling debut at 14 and as a singer, release her first single in 2021.
