Unwilling to wait out a red light at a traffic junction, a driver chose to make a 'surprise manoeuvre' instead.

A video of the incident, which occurred yesterday (May 1) at around 2.11pm according to the time-stamp, was posted on Facebook.

However, it is unclear when exactly the incident took place.

In the video, a green Toyota Sienta on the leftmost lane can be seen 'performing a surprise manoeuvre while waiting at a red light at a junction'.

It appeared that the driver had wanted to avoid waiting for the traffic light to turn green, though the car came to a stop just as the video ended. It is unclear what happened next.

"Give this auntie a boo boo," added the video caption.
