Vegetation fire at Bukit Batok 'the size of 1 football field' put out by SCDF

A vegetation fire that broke out on Tuesday (July 21) between Bukit Batok West Avenue 5 and Avenue 9 was the size of one football field, said an SCDF spokesman.
Stomper Anonymous alerted Stomp to the incident on the same day and shared images showing the smoke from afar.
In response to a Stomp query, SCDF said that they were alerted to the incident at about 3.15pm.
"The fire affected an area of about one football field. SCDF extinguished the fire using two jets," said a spokesperson of SCDF.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
