TikToker baffled over long queues outside Pop Mart at Lot One: 'Am I missing out?'
A TikTok user was left puzzled after spotting a long queue outside the Pop Mart store at Lot One in Choa Chu Kang.
In a video posted on the platform, @elayna891 captioned it: "POV: You're heading to work and wonder what these people do for a living."
She added that she had noticed long queues outside the stores on multiple mornings and admitted: "Still don't get the hype. Am I missing out on something?"
It is likely that the eager crowds were in line for the launch of Pop Mart's The Monsters x One Piece Series Figures, which dropped on Feb 28.
Labubu is part of The Monsters story series created by Hong Kong-born artist Kasing Lung.
The highly anticipated collection appears to have been a hit, as Instagram users on the store's page reported that the figures have already sold out.
A check by Stomp found that some of these collectibles have made their way to online marketplace Carousell, with listings going for as high as $220.
