A Tengah resident posted Halloween-themed photos with his air-conditioner to mark the one-year anniversary of the indoor "waterfall" in his home.

It started on Halloween 2024.

Stomper Skai recounted: "Just before midnight, as I was about to head to bed, I heard the sound of water dripping - a steady tap, tap as it hit the floor and the bucket I'd placed underneath.

"Curious and a bit alarmed, I went to check and found water pouring from the CCS unit."

CCS refers to the central cooling system, an "eco-friendly" alternative to conventional air-conditioning offered by SP Group to those moving to Tengah.

He told Stomp: "My wife and I moved into our new home around 1½ years ago. However, the air-con isn't functioning properly.

"We gave the company five chances to repair the air-con and they failed."

The issues have become so myriad that the Stomper had to create an 8,000-word web page to document the entire saga.

On Oct 13, Stomp reported that he had sought help from his MP Amy Khor, Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, President Tharman Shanmugaratnam - all to no avail.

Referring to the Stomp article, the Stomper said: "Thanks for your amazing help the previous time!

"After the Stomp article was published, Shin Min Daily News picked up the story as well!

"Following that, SP finally reached out to me again - two months after my last email to them.

"We are now waiting (again) for their next update on possible compensation."

For this year's Halloween and the one-year anniversary of the "waterfall", the freelance photographer had an idea.

"I've created something special that your readers might really enjoy - a Halloween-themed self-portrait inspired by my Tengah CCS 'waterfall' incident," said the Stomper.

"It's like spooky, artistic and ironic - a fun twist on a very real experience."

He even suggested a headline: "Photographer turns home waterfall nightmare into haunting Halloween self-portrait."
