Aircon compressor fire at River Valley condo put out by 'Singapore's finest'
A fire broke out at UE Square Residences in River Valley on the night of June 3.
Stomper Oliver shared a photo and video of firefighters in action at 10:40pm.
"Singapore's finest putting out fires," he said. "Amazing to see how quickly they worked."
The video showed a beam of light shining inside a condominium unit engulfed in smoke, and fire blazing behind the window grates.
On the ground, numerous bystanders watched the situation unfold.
In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to the fire at 207 River Valley Road at about 10.30pm.
The fire involved an aircon compressor on the fourth storey.
SCDF extinguished the fire using a dry powder fire extinguisher.
There were no reported injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
