Stomper disappointed by 'invisible' fireworks at New Year countdown at Our Tampines Hub

A man brought his 85-year-old grandmother to Our Tampines Hub (OTH) for its yearly New Year countdown, only to leave disappointed.
Stomper T said the fireworks display was "underwhelming" and barely visible from where he was. It lasted five to 10 minutes.
He recounted: "We left in disappointment as the fireworks were lacklustre and seemed to differ from previous years. None of it was visible to the crowd. Was it a behind-closed-door event?"
A video taken by T shows the fireworks mostly obscured by the OTH building and a small crowd watching on.
He added: "Everyone, especially the kids, left feeling disappointed.
"What a way to start 2025 for the people staying in Tampines, a bloody waste of time and taxpayers' money."
It seems that the Stomper might not have been in the best spot to watch the fireworks display.
A video posted by OTH on its Facebook page shows what the fireworks were actually like at the countdown event.
