S'porean calls JB salon a 'black shop' after it ignores request for partial refund for RM500 hair treatment

A Singaporean woman unhappy with the results of her RM500 (S$154) hair treatment called a Johor Bahru salon a "black shop" for ignoring her request for a partial refund.

Stomper XG had gone to the salon in KSL mall on Sept 17 and was recommended the hair botox treatment by the hair stylist.

"She said it is healthier, more shine and smoother with no hair tangle, et cetera," recounted the Stomper.

"After finished colouring my hair and botox treatment, we realised that some parts on the top of my hair had a drop-off in colour.

"She asked me if I was okay to recolour the top of my hair becasue she said she likes perfection.

"I was very worried and asked her a few times whether it would affect or damaged my botox treatment which she had just done for me.

"Her answer was always definitely not and asked me to believe her because she's a professional.

"And I believe her and let her recolour my hair."

The Stomper was at the salon from 8pm to after midnight.

All was good until she washed her hair a few days later.

"My hair was still very tangled where they recoloured it. It is obviously because of their recolouring," said the Stomper, who asked the salon about it.

"They mentioned that if I don't want my hair to be tangled, then I had to put a mask on it. Then what's the point of doing my botox treatment?

"I told her this was due to her colouring my hair again after the treatment. That was what affected the treatment.

"The tangled hair was the same as when I previously coloured my hair without treatment.

"But they refused to admit they were wrong and tried to blame the customer."

The Stomper requested a refund of half what she paid, but the salon ignored her and did not reply.

"Totally a black shop," said the Stomper.
