Singapore third most 'chilled out' Asian country, Mumbai least: Study based on Google trends
Stressed out? Chill.
After all, Singapore is the third most "chilled out" country in Asia, according to a study by a travel insurance price comparison website based in the UK.
PayingTooMuch added that Kyoto is the most relaxing place to live in the region while Taipei is second.
The top five most chilled out cities in the world are:
- Sydney
- Vienna
- Melbourne
- Honolulu
- Amsterdam
Based by Google trends, the study ranked 50 cities using the following criteria: noise and light pollution, traffic index, population density, number of walking trails, number of parks, quality of green space and parks and happiness score.
Singapore has one of the lowest noise and light pollution rates, the highest quality of green spaces and 284 parks to choose from, said the study.
The least chilled out cities in the world are:
- Mumbai
- Marrakesh
- Jakarta
- Sao Paolo
- Chennai
While Mumbai also tops a list of the most stressed cities in the world, Singapore is curiously not ranked among the 66 cities listed by the William Russell company.
But the Lion City is ranked the fourth least stressed country in the world in a similar list by CEO World.
