A delivery courier has been accused of repeatedly stealing parcels in Pioneer.

Several Stompers alerted Stomp to CCTV footage of the man allegedly stealing a parcel on Aug 21.

The clip, posted on Complaint Singapore's Facebook page, shows the man in a red T-shirt taking a photo of the unit at about 8.36pm before bending down, picking up a parcel and walking away with it.

According to the post, the courier has allegedly done this more than once in the area.

The resident who shared the video wrote: "Sharing this so others in Pioneer neighbourhood can stay alert. A Shopee delivery personnel has been repeatedly stealing parcels in the area. I confirmed with my neighbours that they've had the same experience with him.

"My recent parcel showed as 'delivered' but was missing. He had taken the photo for proof of delivery, then took the parcel away. Hopefully Shopee could notice my report to them so this can be investigated quickly."

In response to a Stomp query, Shopee said it was aware of the matter.

A spokesperson said: "We take this matter very seriously and regret the inconvenience caused to the buyer.

"The order has been refunded, and we are working closely with our third-party logistics partner on investigations.

"The personnel involved has ceased duties with immediate effect while investigations are ongoing.

"Where delivery standards are not met, we will take the necessary disciplinary actions with our partner, which may include permanent removal from duties."

Shopee added that customers who encounter missing parcels are encouraged to report them: "We will investigate and assist with refunds where appropriate."
