Schoolgirl risks her safety to move rock from busy road, leaves netizens split

A schoolgirl removed a rock from a three-lane road after seeing cars on the road trying to avoid it.
In a video uploaded on Facebook on Feb 20, a rock can be seen in the middle of a road busy with cars.
Despite the ongoing traffic, a girl in a yellow top and blue shorts hopped onto the road from the bus stop but returned to the pavement to avoid a car.
After the car passed, she went onto the road again and ran towards the rock.
She then picked it up and ran back towards the bus stop.
The girl appeared to be unsupervised and seemed to be alone in the video.
The video drew mixed reactions from netizens, with some praising the girl for removing the inconvenience from the road, while others questioned why the adults present did not help and instead chose to watch.
"Oh my god, why wasn't an adult helping her?" read one of the comments.
Another Facebook user, hinting at the unnecessary risk, said the rock was "one of the things that would not bother Singapore drivers".
