Rat spotted in Geylang dim sum restaurant: 'Staff wanted to use food tongs to catch it'
A diner spotted a rat at 126 Dim Sum @ Geylang on July 3.
Stomper Ratatouille saw the rodent on top of a cupboard at the back of the Sims Avenue eatery at 9.27pm.

"I told the staff, but they were just smiling," said Ratatouille. "A member of the staff wanted to use the food tongs to catch the rat."
In photos shared by Ratatouille, the rat is seen peeking out from the top of the cupboard.
"It was a very bad experience," said the Stomper.
In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) said it is looking into the matter.
A spokesperson added: "Food safety is a joint responsibility.
"While SFA puts in place and enforces the regulatory measures, food operators must play their part by adhering to good food hygiene and preparation practices.
"Food operators should also ensure their premises are clean and well-maintained.
"Members of the public who have concerns about food safety practices by food operators should report to SFA via the online feedback form (www.sfa.gov.sg/feedback).
"SFA takes a serious view towards food safety and will investigate all feedback alleging poor food safety practices.
"As part of the enquiry and gathering of evidence, SFA may engage the feedback provider for more details and will not hesitate to take enforcement action if sufficient evidence has been obtained."
