The police are investigating after a video of a primary school pupil being viciously punched and kicked by older boys in a stairwell went viral in recent days.
A number of Stompers alerted Stomp to the video bearing the watermark of SGfollowsall.
In the 43-second video, the pupil was punched twice in the stomach by an older boy and doubled over in pain.
A male voice can be heard saying "Lagi, lagi, lagi", which means "More, more, more" in Malay.
The older boy then made the boy stand up and punched him several more times before giving him a kick.
The video later cuts to another boy joining the older boy in kicking the pupil.
The school uniform the pupil was wearing has been identified as that of Qihua Primary School in Woodlands.
In response to a Stomp query, the school said: "We are aware of the incident and the matter is under police investigation.
"The safety and well-being of our students is our priority. We have provided counselling to the affected students and are working closely with their parents to ensure the well-being of all involved."
"We have also reminded our students to look out for one another and to report any incidents of bullying to their teachers."
When contacted by Stomp, the police confirmed that a report was lodged, adding that investigations are ongoing.
This is the second such viral video this month.
On Sept 16, Stomp reported that a video of a Bukit View Secondary School boy getting kicked in the back by an older boy had gone viral. The school principal said the incident in the video took place in October 2023.
