Parent angered by dogs playing at Bishan playground: 'My kids are afraid'
An argument broke out between a dog owner and a parent at Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park on June 2.
Stomper Anonymous visited the park's playground at 9.45pm with three children.
However, the outing soured after the family noticed dogs playing there as well.
"The dogs were on the slides, climbing up, and playing," the Stomper said.
"My kids are totally afraid of dogs, and they usually fall sick after visiting this park's sand playground.
"So, I asked the dog owner politely why he was letting the dogs play in a kids' playground, and he said it is meant for dogs too, as there's no sign prohibiting them."
In a video of a confrontation shared with Stomp, the dog owner defends himself.
"The sign never said that dogs are not allowed," he said.
"This is a public place, why are you all so stressed?"
The family left the scene soon after.
"I will never let my kids play in the sand playground again, as I know how they fall sick."
According to the National Parks Board, dog owners should clean up after their dogs, and keep them on a leash or use a muzzle, if necessary.
