Not just one bad apple: Beware of rotten fruits for sale at Bangkit Road and PLQ
Two Stompers are concerned about the state of fruits on sale in Bukit Panjang and Paya Lebar.
Stomper Anonymous shared photos of an outdoor stall near Block 257 Bangkit Road in Bukit Panjang that was allegedly selling rotten fruits on July 18.

"A lot of the fruits were pecked by birds, spreading bacteria to other uncovered produce," said the Stomper.
"Sometimes I see the elderly with poor eyesight who don't notice it and paid for it. They may end up cutting off the infected part and eating the other half. That is the common buying behaviour of the elderly which is our concern.
"The stall is unlikely to inform the elderly because they are so happy they can get away with it."
Moving indoors, Stomper Sherin said she saw rotten apples at the Kopitiam foodcourt in the PLQ Mall in Paya Lebar on July 20.
She shared photos of the apple slices in a container among other fruits for sale at the fruit and juice counter.

These incidents should remind you to always check the fruit before you buy.
