# Motorcyclist and pillion rider die after Tampines accident involving 2 cars, police seeking 2 individuals who fled

A 24-year-old motorcyclist and his 24-year-old female pillion rider died after an accident involving two cars and a motorcycle along Tampines Avenue 12 on Oct 29.

Police are looking for the male driver and female passenger of one of the cars who left the scene before officers arrived.

Stomper IB, who passed by the scene at about 1.55am on Oct 30, shared videos of the aftermath with Stomp.

He believed that one of the cars had crossed the centre divider before colliding with the other vehicles.

Asked how he felt upon learning that two people had died, he said: “To be honest, sad to see, especially nowadays [there are] a lot of accidents.”

In the videos, a badly mangled motorcycle can be seen lying on the road, while an overturned car appears to be leaning against a tree.

Another car is seen on a grass patch. There is a gap in a section of the centre divider.

Several police officers and vehicles were also at the scene.

In response to Stomp’s queries, the police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to the accident at about 10.35pm.

The motorcyclist and his pillion rider were taken unconscious to hospital, where they subsequently died.

A 25-year-old female driver of one of the cars was also taken conscious to hospital.

“The male driver and female passenger of the other car were not at the scene when police officers arrived,” a police spokesperson said.

“Preliminary investigations revealed that they had left the scene after the accident. Efforts to establish their whereabouts are underway.”

Police investigations are ongoing.
