McDonald's giving away 36,000 free McCrispy burgers -- and S'poreans are loving it
McDonald's Singapore is giving out 36,000 free McCrispy burgers on Sept 4, from 2pm to 5pm.
As usual, you can expect queues.
Stomper Hungry said she visited the McDonald's outlet at Canberra Plaza with her parents at around 1.40pm and there was already a line outside the store.
She shared photos and a video of the scene.
Hungry, whose parents are in their 60s, said: "At 2pm, the staff started giving out coupons so that no one would be queueing in vain. They also let people into the restaurant in batches.
"It was very organised, very orderly and very efficient. There was no complaining or fighting. We also did not have to wait long for our burgers as they were already prepared in advance."
Hungry got her free burger at 2.18pm.

She told Stomp: "It was nice that my parents did not have to queue long. They were delighted with the free food and we went home to enjoy the burgers for lunch. Shiok! Kudos to McDonald's."
The newly launched burger boasts of a "new crispy, juicy chicken patty (that) meets a savoury, smoky sauce."
The giveaway is limited to the first 250 customers at participating outlets, while stocks last.
