Man forgets to take $500 at Yew Tee ATM and returns to find it gone: Police investigating
A man withdrew $500 from an ATM (automated teller machine) but walked away without realising he had left his cash behind.
By the time he returned to the machine, the money was gone.
Stomper GK told Stomp that he withdrew $500 from a POSB ATM at Yew Tee MRT Station on Aug 31 at 10am.
When he checked his ibanking app, the money was not re-deposited into his account which led him to believe someone else had taken his money 'without permission'.
On Sept 4, he made a police report.
"Until now, I still never get back my money," he said.
In response to a Stomp query, the police confirmed a report was lodged and investigations are ongoing.
