Man caught on camera 'weirdly' putting on women's shoes outside Stomper's Tampines flat at 1.05am
A Tampines resident was freaked out by a man caught on camera trying on women's footwear outside her flat.
Sharing CCTV footage of the incident, Stomper ZD said it happened at Block 732 Tampines Street 71 on Feb 28 at 1.05am.
"I would like to share this to create awareness and to encourage all ladies to be more cautious," said ZD.
In the video, the man, who is wearing a bright yellow T-shirt, black shorts and flip-flops, can be seen in the corridor, walking towards the stairs.
The Stomper described the man as behaving suspiciously and looking around as if he was checking whether anyone was looking.
"He was hiding a pair of what seemed to be ladies' flat shoes in the back of his shorts, after which he weirdly put them on after fiddling with them," said ZD.
"From the CCTV footage, it can be clearly seen that those are ladies' flat pumps."
The man then walks up the stairs out of the camera's view, carrying his flip-flops. Moments later, he comes back down the stairs wearing the flip-flops. It is unclear what happened to the woman's footwear.
The Stomper said she has lived at the block for 30 years and had never seen the man before.
She added: "It is so scary that there are people with such fetishes, and I worry for girls and ladies coming back home late at night."
