Man arrested for allegedly molesting victims on bus, involved in at least 3 cases
A 46-year-old man was arrested for his suspected involvement in at least three cases of outrage of modesty.
The police said they received several reports between December 2024 and March 2025 from different victims who had purportedly been molested by the man on a bus.
Through follow-up investigations, officers from Bedok Police Division established the man's identity and arrested him on April 2.
The man will be charged in court on April 3 with the offence of outrage of modesty, which carries a jail term of up to three years and/or a fine and/or caning.
The police said they have zero tolerance towards sexual offenders who threaten the personal safety of the community. Offenders will be dealt with sternly in accordance with the law.
They also urged members of the public to remain vigilant and, if they witness an incident of outrage of modesty or are aware of someone being a victim of outrage of modesty, to report the matter to the police immediately.
