Man allegedly makes inappropriate gesture outside Bedok flat, Stomper urges women to stay alert
A woman is urging others to be vigilant after a man allegedly made an inappropriate gesture at her from outside her Bedok flat.
Stomper Linda shared CCTV footage of the man outside her unit at Block 534 Bedok North Street 3 last August, claiming that she had seen him loitering in the area more than once.
"You can see from the camera, he made an inappropriate gesture to me," said Linda. "Of course I'm offended.
"He had the audacity to stare at my cam, if you notice."
Linda said she confronted the man in Mandarin.
"I told him I had a camera installed and asked him not to try anything funny or I'd call the police," she said.
"I can't really remember what he said - maybe he responded with another gesture, I don't know."
She added that she had spotted the same man twice in the neighbourhood and grew concerned about his presence.
"I think I should create some awareness so women like me are aware of this sicko and can be careful."
She has since reported the incident via the LifeSG app.
While the app advised her to make a police report, Linda said she has yet to do so as she has been busy.
"I'm not free at the moment to go down and make a report," she explained.
