Stomper Anonymous spotted a monkey scavenging for food at Block 112 Teck Whye Lane earlier this morning (Feb 23), at 8.15am.

He said the animal was alone and appeared to be hungry.

In a video filmed by the Stomper, the monkey appeared to be eating something.

Encountered a monkey? Here's what you should do, according to the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA).

Members of the public are also advised not to feed monkeys, as feeding alters their behaviour and causes them to become reliant on humans for food.
