It took 2 people to chain gate and leave debtor's note at Jurong West flat, man and woman arrested
A 30-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman were arrested for loanshark harassment at a Jurong West Street 65 flat.
The police were alerted on Feb 3 at about 4.20pm after the main gate of the flat was found secured with a chain and padlock. A debtor's note was also left behind.

Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identities of the two people involved and arrested them on the same day.
Preliminary investigations revealed that they were allegedly involved in other similar cases of loanshark harassment islandwide.
The duo will be charged in court on Feb 5 under the Moneylenders Act 2008.
For first time offenders, the offence of loanshark harassment carries between $5,000 and $50,000, with imprisonment of up to five years and caning of up to six strokes.
