Update:
In updates posted at 3.08pm and 4.37pm, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they responded to the fire at 12.55pm.
The fire involved textile items inside a three-storey industrial building and has been largely extinguished after SCDF fought the fire with five water jets, an aerial monitor from a combined platform ladder and an unmanned firefighting machine.
However, some deep-seated pockets of fire remain and damping down operations to douse them are expected to continue into the night.
The structure of the premises has been assessed as unstable.
One person was assessed by a paramedic for a minor cut on his arm but declined to be sent to the hospital.
