Faded and tattered S'pore flag displayed in front of house way past National Day: Did someone forget?
Usually, Stomp gets complaints about the display of the National Flag around National Day.
In this case, Stomper Suraj is complaining due to the fact that it is way past National Day.
Sharing a photo of a faded and tattered Singapore flag on a pole in front of a house on March 19, the Stomper said: "I found this landed property at Sengkang Way displaying our National Flag against MCCY (Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth) guidelines."

What are the guidelines?
For one thing, the National Flag should be replaced if faded or torn.
"I'm not sure whether the owners forgot, but a little thought would have been helpful," said the Stomper.
According to the National Heritage Board, when the flag is displayed outside a building, it must be flown from a flagpole in front of the building and must not be flown at night without proper illumination.
But during the National Day celebrations period (July 1 to Sept 30), the National Flag may be displayed on a building without a flagpole or night illumination.
The improper display of the National Flag is punishable with a fine of up to $30,000, six months imprisonment or both.
