Exhaust duct of Chinese restaurant catches fire in Boon Keng
Stomper Am was at a bus stop next to Block 22 in Boon Keng today (Jan 25) when he saw a fire at a nearby Chinese restaurant.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Stomp that they were alerted to the incident at 10.45am.
The fire involved the exhaust duct of a restaurant on the first level.
A video that the Stomper took shows clouds of smoke billowing out of the windows of the restaurant.
He described the fire to Stomp, "It is blazing hot. From the bus stop you can even feel the heat."
In the video, SCDF officers were also seen running and entering from the side of the restaurant.
According to the SCDF, there are no reported injuries.
The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
