Elderly man pushes woman in wheelchair during red light, gets stuck in middle of busy road
An elderly man was seen pushing a woman in a wheelchair across a road amid busy traffic, sparking concerns about road safety.
Stomper J shared footage of the incident that occurred at a traffic junction at Paya Lebar Road on March 7 at around 4.36 pm.
In the clip, the elderly couple can be seen standing in the middle of the road, next to a road divider, while waiting for traffic to pass.
The Stomper described the woman in the wheelchair as appearing "helpless", adding that "the old man was wondering whether to cross quickly but stood still".
According to J, the pair were stuck in the middle of the road.
He recounted: "The cars were making turns to the right while the elders stood there."
The Stomper also described what he saw as "nuts to the core".
It is an offence to cross the road during a red light. Those found guilty of failing to conform to the red light signal at a pedestrian crossing will be fined $50.
