Elderly man injured after struggling with man who robs him of $10,000 gold bracelet in Bukit Merah
An elderly man was injured after failing to fight off a robber on March 26.
He was in the Jalan Bukit Merah area when an unknown man attempted to rob him of a gold bracelet valued at more than $10,000.

The victim refused to give up the bracelet, prompting a struggle to ensue between the two men.
Unfortunately, the robber overpowered the elderly victim and managed to flee with the jewellery, leaving the victim with minor injuries.
The police were alerted at 12.15pm and with the aid of images from police cameras and CCTVs, officers from Central Police Division established the identity of the suspect and arrested him within four hours of the report.
The gold bracelet was also recovered.
The 52-year-old man was to be charged on March 27 with robbery, which carries an imprisonment term between two to 10 years and caning of at least six strokes.
