Driver assisting with investigations after trailer gets stuck on centre divider, blocks traffic for over 2 hours
A trailer blocked traffic for more than two hours after getting stuck on the centre divider along Syed Alwi Road on Nov 3.
Stomper Stardust alerted Stomp to the incident at about 6.55pm.
"The trailer was reversing against the flow of traffic to get into the HDB construction site and blocked traffic for more than 10 minutes before the accident finally happened," said the Stomper.
"In the end, the road was blocked for over two hours. The traffic police came down to divert traffic and investigate."
In response to a Stomp query, the police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to the accident at about 7.10pm.
According to the police, the accident involved a trailer that was believed to have self-skidded along Syed Alwi Road towards Jalan Sultan.
SCDF took one person to Singapore General Hospital.
A 24-year-old male trailer driver is assisting with investigations, police said, adding that investigations are ongoing.
