A 53-year-old man died in hospital after he crashed into a tree along Paya Lebar Road towards Upper Paya Lebar Road on June 16.

The police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Stomp that they were alerted to the accident at around 12.05pm.

The car was believed to have self-skidded, police said.

Stomper Oscar shared photos and videos taken at the accident site, which he said was near TMC Academy Paya Lebar Campus.

Pictures show a black car with a badly mangled front bumper after hitting a tree. Its dislodged licence plate was left lying on the grass patch.

Paramedics can be seen performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on the driver before taking him away in an ambulance.

The driver was unconscious when taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, where he subsequently died.

Police investigations are ongoing.
