Diner feels like vomiting every time he recalls finding cockroach in dosa from Punggol stall
Once a regular customer of a prata stall in Punggol, Stomper Srikanth now feels like vomiting every time he remembers his last visit.
Srikanth said he found a cockroach in his takeaway onion dosa from the Srisun Prata stall at Block 261 Punggol Way on Aug 19, at around 2pm.
He recounted: "I had eaten half of the dosa when I found a small, dead cockroach in the gravy.
"I informed the chef and workers at the stall and showed them a photo. They conveyed an apology."
Srikanth said he did not report the incident to the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) as he "did not know how to". However, he left a one-star review on Google.

The Stomper added: "Since then, whenever I recall the incident, I get the feeling of vomiting."
A spokeswoman for Srisun Express Group, which manages the Srisun Prata.Com brand, said the incident was "deeply concerning".
She told Stomp in response to queries: "Please allow me to express our sincerest apologies for this unacceptable experience.
"At Srisun Prata, we take food safety and hygiene extremely seriously and we are committed to providing the highest quality of service to our customers across all of our restaurants and food stalls.
"This incident is not reflective of the standards we uphold, and we have thoroughly investigated this situation.
"Upon receiving the complaint, we understand our staff and chef on-site immediately offered their apologies to the diner, who is a regular customer. He did a takeaway and came to alert us as he was not too sure of how that happened either."
"As part of our response, we have:
- Conducted an immediate inspection of our kitchen and dining area and found no cockroaches or any other pests for that matter.
- Scheduled an extensive cleaning and pest control treatment to ensure that our premises meet the strictest hygiene standards.
- Revisited and reinforced our food safety protocols with all staff to prevent such incidents in the future.
