Cyclists pull 'stunts' and ride without safety gear or lights at CBD
A Stomper shared with Stomp a video of the incident and expressed concerns over road safety.
At least four cyclists were seen riding on the road without any helmets or lights on their bicycles.
"A dangerous way of riding, pulling stunts around Shenton Way and near Marina One East Tower," the Stomper said.
"Some of them released their handlebars while cycling."
This is not the first time motorists have spotted cyclists flouting the rules.
Last month, a group of cyclists were seen tailgating a trailer truck on the West Coast Highway. None of them appeared to be wearing helmets.
According to the Land Transport Authority, all cyclists must:
- Wear a helmet when cycling on roads
- Always ride as close as predictable to the far left of roads, and allow traffic to overtake you safely.
