Cyclist yells at people in crowd outside MBS watching fireworks for not getting out of his way
A cyclist was caught on camera yelling at people in the crowd outside Marina Bay Sands on the evening of July 5.
The crowd had gathered by the bay to watch the fireworks display for the National Day Parade National Education Show 2.
Stomper Lily alerted Stomp to a video of the incident posted on Xiaohongshu.
The cyclist can initially be heard saying in Mandarin: "If I collide with you, don't blame me."
He then started cycling but had to stop because of people in front of him.
"You're blocking the way," he shouted at a woman pushing two dogs in a trolley.
She said something inaudible, to which he yelled back in English: "I said excuse already! I ask you all don't block the road. I ask you all, okay, please don't block the road, okay. Please, sorry, I'm sorry. Please don't block the road. Then?"
Reverting to Mandarin, he asked: "How? Isn't it the same? Talk nonsense! You want people to say please. Even after saying please, you still don't give way."
By then, the woman with the dogs had moved away and he rode off.
The video was also shared on YouTube and Reddit.
