Train services on the Sengkang and Punggol LRT lines were disrupted due to a system fault on Tuesday morning (Oct 1).

Stomper Crystal was on her way to work when the LRT train she was on stopped at Punggol station at about 5.39am.

"Me and four other passengers were stuck in the train for about three minutes before the staff forced open to the door in the middle of the railway," she said.

"I was rushing to work so I did not know how long the power trip lasted for."

SBS Transit tweeted that services on the Sengkang and Punggol LRT lines were disrupted from 6.08am.

Free bridging and regular bus services were available at designated bus stops near the affected stations.

Services on the Punggol LRT line resumed at about 7am while train service on the Sengkang LRT line resumed at about 8.04am.

The operator apologised for the inconvenience caused.
