# Commuter records and reports teen drinking on MRT, says station staff ‘took video of my video’

Since the new public transportation rules kicked in on Sept 23, Stomp has received numerous submissions about passengers openly flouting them.

However, only one Stomper has stepped up to report such an incident to public transport staff.

Stomper Dirtycar was on board an MRT on the East-West Line on Oct 2 when he spotted a male teenager with a soft drink bottle in his hand at about 10.50pm.

A video clip shows the teen seemingly preoccupied with his phone before picking up the bottle, unscrewing the cap and tilting the open bottle towards his mouth.

After a few gulps, he screws the bottle cap back on with his left hand and places the drink on the empty seat beside him, all while scrolling through his phone with his right hand.

## Stomper reports teen for drinking on the MRT

About 10 minutes later, upon alighting at Pasir Ris station where the teen also disembarked, Dirtycar approached a station staff member.

He showed the personnel the video he recorded of the teen, and was told that staff would “watch out” for him.

The Stomper recounted: “I showed the video to staff at Pasir Ris Station. A duty personnel took video of my video on his mobile and told me he will watch out for this person.”

Dirtycar claimed he also sent a message to SMRT. As of Oct 14, he has yet to receive a reply.

Stomp has reached out to SMRT for comment.
