The Changi Village restaurant where a blade of ceiling fan fell off and hit two people has replaced its ceiling fans.

Le Xuan dim sum restaurant shared a photo of two workmen working on two fans on April 10.

On March 10, a Stomper was dining with her fiancé and her fiancé's dad when the fan blade fell.

She said luckily, there were no serious injuries.

"Just redness on the forehead of my fiancé's dad and a small bump on my fiancé's head," added the Stomper.

The restaurant apologised for the incident.

A spokesperson told Stomp the ceiling fan was relatively new.

"It was less than two years old and made of plastic. So it didn't cause any injuries to the customers," she said.

"We suspect that the screw wasn't done well during installation by the technician and became loose. This caused the fan blade to come off."

Now that the fans have been replaced, the Stomper said: "Good that they are changing the fans to prevent any more accidents from happening and hope that they do regular maintenance or checks on them."

Asked whether she would return to the restaurant since she liked the food, the Stomper replied: "I am definitely not going back after the incident as it left a huge negative impact on me. Thank you."
