Admiralty foodcourt staff spilled hot soup on woman's legs: 'I keep getting new blisters'

In a post on March 21, a woman shared on Xiaohongshu that she had spent a few weeks tending to the blisters on her legs as a result of a burn.
She had gone to a foodcourt in Admiralty on Feb 25 and ordered a popular north-eastern Chinese dish, "stewed chicken in iron pot".
The woman and her colleague were told they would have to wait for about an hour for the dish to be prepared.
The dish would be served in a wok atop burning charcoal.
As the staff brought the woman's order to her table, the wok's content was accidentally spilled onto her legs and the hot soup scalded her skin.
The woman shared that she spent about 20 minutes in the toilet to run tap water over the scalded skin before going to hospital for treatment.
"I keep getting new blisters on my legs and I had to clean the wounds five times a day," she wrote.
"I returned to the hospital for follow-up and cleaning every two or three days.
"I advise others to leave the table when such dishes are being served."
The woman shared that the owner of the stall said she would take full responsibility for the incident.
It took about three weeks before the woman fully recovered and could return to the stall for compensation.
