95-year-old woman stabbed to death at Recreation Road, female murder suspect arrested

A 95-year-old woman was found dead in a residential unit along Recreation Road on Monday afternoon (July 6) and a 34-year-old suspect has been arrested for murder.
The police said they were alerted to a case of stabbing at around 1.50pm.
When the police arrived, the victim was found lying motionless and was pronounced dead at the scene by a paramedic.
"Preliminary investigations revealed that both the victim and the suspect are known to each other," said the police, who have classified the case as murder.
"The suspect, a 34-year-old woman, has been arrested in relation to the case and will be charged in court on July 8."
