70-year-old motorcyclist dies after accident at Bartley Road East, car driver arrested
A 70-year-old motorcyclist died after he was hit by a car at Bartley Road East on March 15.
In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at about 4.40pm.
"A 70-year-old male motorcyclist was conveyed unconscious to the hospital, where he subsequently succumbed to his injuries," a police spokesperson said.
A 30-year-old female car driver was arrested for careless driving without due care and attention, causing hurt.
A Facebook video shows a white car crashing into the motorcycle.
Images posted online show the white car at a road junction with a fallen motorcycle in front of it.
Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) paramedics and passers-by are seen tending to a man lying on the road.
Police investigations are ongoing.
