62-year-old bus driver dies after accident involving lorry at Outram Road
A 62-year-old private bus driver died after he was involved in an accident along Outram Road towards Cantonment Road on March 12.
Stomper Alycia alerted Stomp to the incident and shared a video and photos she took as she was passing by the scene at about 12.38pm.
In the footage, a bus appears to have mounted a kerb and crashed into a tree which has been uprooted.
In response to Stomp queries, the Singapore Civil Defence Force said they were alerted to the accident involving a private bus and a lorry at 11.15am. The police were alerted at 11.20am.
The 62-year-old male bus driver was unconscious when he was taken to Singapore General Hospital where he subsequently passed away, a police spokesperson said.
A 47-year-old passenger was conscious when conveyed to the same hospital.
Police investigations are ongoing.
