27-year-old man arrested for alleged outrage of modesty of 14-year-old girl
The Police arrested a 27-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of Outrage of Modesty at Upper Boon Keng Road on Monday (June 12).
The Police said that at about 1.32am on Tuesday (June 13), a 14-year-old victim reported that a man had outraged her modesty.
According to a press release from the Police, officers from Bedok Police Division conducted extensive investigations and reviewed the CCTV footages.
The identity of the suspect was then established and he was arrested along the Esplanade on Wednesday (June 14).
The Police said that the man will be charged in Court today (June 15) with the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224.
This offence is punishable with an imprisonment term which may extend to 2 years, or with caning, or with combination of such punishments.
