'New parkour moves': Netizen

While most netizens were awed by the monkeys and astonished at their skill in climbing a flat, upright wall, many called them "clever" and "naughty little rascals".

"Caesar and Koba's team was here!" one netizen wrote, playfully referencing the movie Planet of the Apes.

Another asked: "Residents, how did you manage them?"

"It's because they have no food to eat," one netizen said, while another criticised the ban on feeding them, adding that "they can't farm their own food".

In Aug this year, monkeys were seen infesting a void deck, with food scattered all over the area and even thrown at residents.

Wild Singapore warned that feeding them may backfire, as the monkeys would become reliant and aggressive to residents.

Monkeys also play an important role in the ecosystem as their feeding on forest fruits and plants helps the environment regenerate.
