Celebrated chef Yotam Ottolenghi will visit Singapore on Feb 9, 2026, to conduct a live cooking demonstration at the Capitol Theatre.
In a Facebook post on Sept 8 announcing his visit, the Israeli-British author and restaurateur said he would be "sharing my cooking confessions, and exploring how we can feel more at ease in the kitchen - cooking in a way that suits you, and finding pleasure in food, for yourself and for those around you".
The event, titled An Evening With Yotam Ottolenghi, is part of his 11-stop tour of Australia and New Zealand. It begins in Singapore and ends in Auckland on Feb 21.
In an Instagram post, Sistic Singapore called the event "an unforgettable night of culinary adventure and storytelling", noting that Ottolenghi is "beloved worldwide for his bold creations, vibrant feasts, and beautifully abundant style".
The 56-year-old London-based chef runs 11 delis and restaurants, including ROVI and NOPI.
His best-selling cookbooks include Plenty, Jerusalem: A Cookbook, which was co-authored by Palestinian-British chef Sami Tamimi, and Sweet, written with Melbourne pastry chef Helen Goh.
He is also a food columnist for The New York Times and British daily The Guardian. He has also appeared on BBC series Saturday Kitchen and The Great British Food Revival.
The British broadcaster says he is "widely acknowledged as one of the most influential chefs of recent times", adding that he is "often cited as the driving force behind the vegetarian, Middle Eastern cuisine trend".
Tickets, priced from $89 to $249, can be purchased online at Sistic's website.
VIP tickets will include a signed copy of Ottolenghi's cookbook Comfort, a tote bag, and an exclusive tour laminate.
